Please join us for our annual summer picnic! This year, we'll be holding the event at the Gresham Estate near Edgewater, Maryland.

This historic home was first built in the late 17th century by John Gresham II with additions and renovations continuing through the 20th century. Over the years, the Estate was owned by several families, most notably Commodore Isaac Mayo, who lived in the house until his death in 1861. Most recently, it was restored by Leon Johnson of Johnson Pools and his family. Now owned by Anne Arundel County and associated with historic London Town (about ten minutes away), the home will continue to be restored and host events in the future.

The picnic will begin at 12PM and last until 2PM. We'll be providing lunch and drinks, but we're asking that you bring your favorite dessert to share this year! Non-members and kids are welcome to join (see registration costs below). Interested in carpooling or need a ride? Let us know, and we can help!

We'll have plenty of shade under the pavilion adjacent to the home, but bring your own picnic blanket or camp chairs if you'd like to relax on the lawn. If you have a favorite lawn game, you're welcome to bring that, too!

In addition to our picnic, tours of the home and grounds will be offered throughout the event by Rod Cofield, Executive Director of Historic London Town and Gardens. You do not need to register for a tour in advance.
